France to Open Visa Centre in Kochi to Boost Tourism in Kerala

France, one of the major countries which send hundreds of tourists to Kerala is opening a Visa centre to help people from both countries to travel more and increase the cultural exchange. This was revealed by the French Ambassador to India, Fancois Richier at a press conference in Kochi on Saturday.

The French Ambassador hopes that the visa centre will be helpful for people from Kerala to visit France and the planned overseas education campus office will help students who want to study and explorer the French culture and also boost cooperation among education institutions of both the countries.

Europe always been a huge source for incoming tourists to Kerala, and among them a good percentage of people are from France. The God’s own country is particularly famous among the elite in France, and highly regarded for its human development index and literacy, which is at par with the developed economies of the world.

So, all put together, the opening of the visa office in Kochi will boost the people-to-people exchange between the countries and is also a huge blessing in disguise for the tourism sector in Kerala, when the industry is going through a downturn.
